Katy graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2013 with a 1st class (BSc Hons) Physiotherapy degree.


She is a full member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Health and Care Professions Council. Katy has extensive experience in private practice, and has worked with two ex-professional football Physiotherapists over a four year period.


Katy has completed several post graduate courses, including an M level Acupuncture Foundation Course. Katy has also worked as a Physiotherapist for the Ministry of Defence, and completed Junior Physiotherapy rotations in an NHS hospital setting. Collectively, she has a wide range of experience in Musculoskeletal, Orthopaedic, Medical and Sports Physiotherapy management. Katy particularly enjoys treating tension headaches and neck / back pain.

Katy regularly participates in sport, and has a ten year history of competitive swimming. She has medalled at Eastern Region swimming championships and at international open meets in Germany. She also represented her University at the BUCS National Swimming Championships. Katy can therefore understand and empathise with patients from a sporting background, and help them to return to full fitness as soon as possible.


Helen Davison

Helen is a highly experienced friendly Physiotherapist who qualified from Coventry University in 2011 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy.


She initially worked in a private Physiotherapy practice in Bishop’s Stortford, before joining a leading national Physiotherapy provider in 2012. This role has seen Helen work in a variety of settings across Essex and North London. During her professional life, Helen has worked across many different referral streams including medico-legal, occupational health and AQP, where she treated patients with a wide variety of spinal and peripheral injuries.


Helen has a specialist interest in chronic pain conditions, such as Fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis and auto-immune conditions. She tailors her approach according to each individual’s needs, and treats holistically to ensure the best outcome for her patients. Helen has undertaken various post graduate courses to continuously further her knowledge, and she is qualified to perform acupuncture.   


Aside from her activity as a Physiotherapist, Helen enjoys writing blogs on a variety of wellness topics. She has previously travelled to Australia and New Zealand and shared her experiences through the blog.


Anne Lilly


Anne graduated from St George’s University Hospital of London with a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy. She also holds a Level 3 Sports Massage Diploma from the London School of Osteopathy, and is qualified to perform Acupuncture.

Anne has gained experience in various Physiotherapy settings prior to joining Choice Physio and she strives to continue to develop her professional knowledge and research still further.  Anne enjoys treating a wide range of conditions, including: joint / muscular pain, back / neck pain, chronic conditions, auto-immune conditions and hypermobility, hand therapy and treating / rehabbing people post operatively.

Anne was previously a part of the Archery GB Talent Academy, competing nationally in archery across the country. Her sporting experience gives her insight into the treatment needs of amateur and professional athletes, and the importance of Physiotherapy in injury prevention.

In her leisure time, Anne enjoys going to the gym, videogames, martial arts, and is working back up to competing nationally again in Archery. 


Annabel moeser

Annabel is a highly experienced Sports Therapist, Lecturer and APPI trained Pilates instructor, having  graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2012 and taught on the same course 2017-2019. She is now a Clinical Exercise Visiting Lecturer at the University of Bedfordshire. Over the years she has completed courses in Dry Needling, Spinal Manipulation, Pregnancy Therapy and Matwork Pilates.


Annabel embarked on her Pilates journey in 2019 as she noticed the lack of core strength in her patient’s. She has an interest in women's health and pregnancy pilates, and loves to work with patients who have chronic pain including: rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia and hypermobility as well as the more Musculoskeletal; lower back pain, neck, shoulder and sports injuries. 

Annabel has grown up and worked in and around the Sawbridgeworth area, attending both Reedings and Leventhorpe School. It has always been an aim to continue to help the local area as much as possible as well as continuously developing herself both in life and education. As of September 2020, Annabel is expanding her knowledge by completing a Masters degree in Physiotherapy at St Mary’s University, Twickenham. She has a keen interest in sport, especially triathlons and open water swimming and has trekked to both Kilimanjaro and Everest Base Camp for charity. 

ABOUT OUR Physiotherapist

Nick Mester


Nick is a friendly Physiotherapist, who has completed two degrees at Birmingham University; a Masters Physiotherapy degree (Msc Hons) and prior to this a Sports and Exercise Science degree (Bsc Hons). 


He is a full member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Health and Care Professions Council. Nick enjoys providing a mixture of hands on therapy and exercise prescription, tailored to each patient to ensure they achieve the best outcome. Nick regularly engages in continued professional development to further his learning, and will soon be qualified to perform medical Acupuncture.

Nick has previously gained a wide range of experience during hospital placements, particularly working with an upper limb specialist providing post operative rehabilitation. 

 In Nick's spare time he enjoys going to the gym and plays competitive Dodgeball for Leicester and England. 

ABOUT OUR Physiotherapist

Emma Hannibal-Smith


Emma is an approachable and experienced Physiotherapist, who graduated from the University of East London in 2013 with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy Degree. Prior to this, Emma completed a BA (Hons) degree in Sport at Durham University in 2010. She is a full member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Health and Care Professions Council, and enjoys continuing her learning through attending courses and participating in training for her continued professional development.


Emma’s degree allowed her to work on an honourary contract within the NHS for her 3 years of study, gaining experience in various different specialities. After graduating she moved into private practice and joined a leading national Physiotherapy provider. This role has seen Emma work across multiple settings within Essex and North London, with various referral schemes including: medico-legal, occupational health, private healthcare cover and AQP. Here Emma treated clients with a wide variety of spinal and peripheral musculoskeletal conditions. She also worked as a disability analyst for ATOS and as a Blue Badge assessor for Essex County Council.


Emma has completed various post graduate courses, including taping for sports injuries and an AACP Accupuncture Foundation Course. She is also presently due to attend an APPI pilates course, to be able to include this in the rehabilitation of her clients. Emma enjoys taking a holistic and patient centered approach to each individual, to ensure her clients receive maximum benefit from their treatments.

Outside of work Emma enjoys spending time with her family, travelling for holidays, playing netball and getting outside daily to enjoy nature and all it has to offer

Geoff manages several aspects of the practice and works closely with our Physiotherapists. Geoff has gained extensive management experience through working previously as a business development manager and sales director for a UK manufacturer. Geoff works hard to continually develop the practice, to ensure a high quality service is provided with the best quality treatment. 


Outside of work, Geoff enjoys keeping active and going on holidays! Geoff swam competitively for many years in the UK and Australia, winning State and National titles.
