As a National level swimmer, I have had problems on and off with my shoulders, as you often train over 15 hours a week in the pool. I went to Katy after suffering severe shoulder pain in my right shoulder, just a week before the East of England Swimming Championships in 2015.
Katy managed to get several knots out from under my shoulder blades and did two rounds of acupuncture, as well as offering advice as to what I should and shouldn’t be doing in the pool, in order to help assist with my shoulders recovery and maintenance of the shoulder.
Just three days after my treatment, I was back in the pool (pain free) and I managed to swim a massive lifetime best in the 200m freestyle, qualifying for the final and only narrowly missing out on a medal. Katy’s knowledge and understanding (having been a top swimmer herself) was vital in knowing how to treat my injury and I honestly don’t think I could have achieved what I did that day, without Katy’s work.

Last year I went to see Katy for advice after suffering with severe pain in both of my legs whilst training for the London marathon. I saw Katy a couple of times leading up to the race and she would give me a thorough massage in my legs to dig out any knots and help relax the muscles. When the race came it felt as though I was running with a brand new pair of legs, all thanks to Katy!!
